Peer mentoring
Peer mentoring takes place when a person who has been through a set of experiences provides mentoring support to another person going through the same experience. This mentoring support might take the form of emotional, social or practical help.
We have a Peer Mentoring Programme at Harbour as we believe it will complement the work of our paid staff and other volunteers and provide benefits to both mentee and mentor.
Our peer mentors will provide one to one support to clients to increase confidence, reduce isolation and support with re-building their lives. Harbour will provide all Peer Mentors will training and support appropriate to their role.
If you are interested in being a peer mentor then email volunteers@myharbour.org.uk for more information.
